My name is Andrii Golubinka. Together with my wife, Anna, and our sons, Volodymyr and Artem, we experienced the dramatic events that, on 24 February 2022, changed our family’s life forever. Like many Ukrainian families, we left our apartment in Kyiv and travelled to western Ukraine, to the Lviv region, in search of shelter and safety.
In the first days of the crisis, I began receiving numerous calls and messages from colleagues at Keller Poland, with whom I had worked for more than 12 years. They offered support, help in finding accommodation in Poland, and financial assistance. This touched me deeply, especially since our professional cooperation ended in 2019, yet the bonds and goodwill remained unchanged.
We decided to stay in Ukraine, but both my wife and I lost our jobs, which caused our financial situation to deteriorate rapidly. During this difficult time, colleagues from Keller stayed in regular contact, asking whether we needed help. From April 2022, I remained in continuous contact with Michał Nowakowski, Health & Safety Director at Keller Poland, and in May 2022 we began receiving financial assistance from Keller Poland and later also from the Keller Foundation.
This support was vital for our family. In the face of ongoing Russian aggression, Ukraine was not left alone — and neither were we. Keller extended help not only to its current employees but also to former ones. Thanks to the Foundation’s assistance, we were able to survive the most challenging months and provide our children with stable living conditions.
On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Keller Foundation and to everyone involved in providing support. Your actions have been an immense emotional and financial lifeline, invaluable in such difficult times.
